Well we've been singin' a lot of songs. Now it's time for a story. Let's see, I think I'm going to tell you the one all about a man named Noah.
Way back when, before the hills got dusty
Old Noah started choppin' trees
He got a great big plan from the Good Designer
For a zoo that could sail the seas
Clouds are risin'
Thunder and lightnin'
But the door is open wide
Well, Noah had done a lot of stuff
But he'd never been a sailor on a floatin' menagerie
He was willing to try though, 'cause it was do or die
And because he did, well there's you and me
Sun has risen
Time to get ready
All aboard now
Climb inside
Clouds are risin'
Thunder and lightnin'
But the door is open wide
Sun has risen
Time to get ready
All aboard now
Climb inside
Well Noah was a righteous man
Livin' in a world gone wrong
God looked down and saw the mess
And he had to confess
I'm sorry for creating these
Who only live for what they please
So I will begin again I guess
Clouds are risin'
Thunder and lightnin'
But the door is open wide
Sun has risen
Time to get ready
All aboard now
Climb inside
When no one would heed the cry
"Get aboard the boat or you will die!"
God told Noah what to do
Bring animals two by two
Before the rains came rollin' down
The animals came from all around
Aardvarks, platypus, squirrels and kangaroos
Well then they came as the skies grew stormy
A boy and a girl of each
But only eight were human
'Cause Noah and his family
Why, they were the only ones God could reach
They finished coverin' the boat with a coat of tar
To make sure that it wouldn't leak
Then as they climbed inside
God looked around and cried big drops of rain
So to speak
Clouds are risin'
Thunder and lightnin'
But the door is open wide
Sun has risen
Time to get ready
All aboard now
Climb inside
As the rain came tumblin' down
Everything around was drowned
And though it was a bumpy ride
It sure was dry inside
After forty nights of rain
Water covered everything
It rained so hard it took the year to dry
And if you think this is the end of the story
I'll tell you the best is yet to come
Cause as the boat came to rest and the doors flew off
There was a big surprise waitin' there for everyone
As they looked into the sky
They saw the prettiest colors
And seein' it was so much fun
'Cause far as you could see
They were a hundred percent free
And a whole new world had just begun
Rainbow, rainbow bright with color
Shines a promise through the sky
Spreading sunshine all around us
No more darkness, no more night
Rainbow, rainbow bright with color
Shines a promise through the sky
Spreading sunshine all around us
No more darkness, no more night
Rainbow, rainbow bright with color
Shines a promise through the sky
Spreading sunshine all around us
No more darkness, no more night
Oh, oh, oh
Rainbow, rainbow bright with color
Shines a promise through the sky
Spreading sunshine all around us
No more darkness, no more night
